Ticketing FAQ

I'm so excited for Wicked Burn! How do I get a ticket?
We're excited too! The ticketing process is set up as a lottery. If you are interested in attending Wicked Burn, you will register for the lottery while it is open (January 15th -February 28th). Each individual must enter the lottery as an individual. Once the ticket lottery closes, the computer wizards will do their thing and the tickets will get randomly assigned until they run out. If you have been assigned a ticket, you will be informed of how to purchase a ticket on March 4th. If you have not been assigned a ticket, you will be added to the waitlist and informed of this status.

How does the ticket lottery work?
Everyone who registers for the lottery will have an equally random chance of being assigned a ticket. If and when you are assigned a ticket at the end of the open lottery registration process, you will be informed on how to purchase your ticket.

What if I want to go with my SO, friend, child, etc?
After you sign yourself up as individuals for the lottery, there is a function in the ticketing system where you can link yourselves together in a group. In this case your entire group will either be assigned tickets through the lottery or be waitlisted.

How late can I buy my ticket?
Once you are assigned a ticket, you have a one week window in which to purchase your ticket. If you do not purchase your ticket within that time frame, your ticket will be released to the waitlist. If you get off of the waitlist last minute and can go, ticket sales will close just prior to the start of the event.

How much is a ticket?
The suggested ticket cost is $55. The ticket purchasing system will allow you to purchase your ticket on a sliding scale.

Can I buy a ticket for my friend?
No. Everyone must enter the lottery as an individual. You cannot purchase a ticket for someone else. You cannot directly transfer your ticket to someone else.

How do I buy a ticket for my minor?
You will use a different email from your own to get them registered for the lottery. Once you sign yourself up as individuals for the lottery, there is a function in the ticketing system where you can link yourselves together in a group. In this case you and your minor will either both be assigned tickets through the lottery or both be waitlisted.

Do I need a parking ticket?
YES! If you are parking a vehicle, it needs its own ticket. There is no lottery for parking tickets and these can only be purchased by those assigned an event ticket from the lottery. Parking tickets are $15. This is purchased separately from your personal ticket. Carpooling is highly encouraged and will allow us to welcome more people to the burn.

Can I bring my RV? Is there a separate ticket for this?
Maybe. Please contact us at wickedburnmaine@gmail.com.

Can I camp in my car?
The answer is... maybe. IMPORTANT- You should come to Wicked Burn with a plan for tent camping as nothing is guaranteed with car camping. Any car camping must occur within the burn area and NOT in the parking lot. Ultimately, being able to car camp will depend on space and weather. You will need to come to a work weekend to establish a car camping spot for yourself to "guarantee" the space will be there. Then it's up to the weather to decide if the roads are driveable to get to said car camping location.

What is the ticketing timeline?
1/15/26 12pm- Ticket Lottery Opens
2/28/26 12pm- Ticket Lottery Closes
3/4/26 12pm- Ticket Sales Begin
5/21/26- Wicked Burn Early Arrival Day

What if I'm waitlisted?
Stay tuned!! Many people end up being unable to go for many reasons. You will be informed immediately if you get off of the waitlist and will be given instructions on how to purchase your ticket.

I can't go anymore. Can I release my ticket?
Yes! If you purchased a ticket but can no longer attend, you can release your ticket and receive your money back.

Can I transfer my ticket to my friend, dog, SO, etc?
No, you cannot directly transfer a ticket to someone else. The name on the ticket must match the name at the gate. If you release your ticket, it goes to the next person on the wait list.

Is there a separate ticket for early arrival?
No. Stay tuned on how to sign up and indicate to us that you'll be arriving early (on Thursday).

Is there a separate ticket for work weekends?
No, but please come help make this burn happen by participating in work weekends! These weekends will occur the 1st three weekends of May leading up to the burn. Anyone is invited (even if you are on the waitlist for the burn!). We'll spend time clearing land, reinforcing roads, building effigy/temple, and getting ready to burn! Stay tuned on how to sign up and indicate to us that you’ll be joining us for work weekends.

What about volunteering at the burn?
Yes, PLEASE. Get involved! That's what it’s all about! Stay tuned for information on how to sign up for volunteer shifts and what each volunteer post involves. This information will be out prior to ticket sales so you can sign up for volunteering right after you get your ticket!
